The Smells of Home

Between packing for Family week, Family week itself, and going to Florida, we have not had Momma's delicious fresh baked bread it what seems like forever! Today Momma finally made bread, and I say it looks mouth watering! It is especially good with butter and/or apple butter on it, Mmmmm :-).

Civil War dress

Last August my friend Tierney got married, and she did something very fun. She had a Civil War themed wedding! It was so much fun to attend :-) Below is the dress that I made and wore for the wedding. You will notice that is has a hoop, which was so fun to wear! It felt almost like I had a tent around me. :-) Enjoy!

Garden

Spring is almost gone and summer is upon us! Everything at our home is beautiful and growing very fast, thanks to all of the rain we have gotten. Below are some picture of our garden and yard.

My kitty-cat Punky loves sitting on my lap while I scratch and pet her. I was out in the garden weeding today and she came up to me and tried to get on my lap, well that did not work so guess what she did ?? She jumped on my back!! She is so cute :-)

3 1/2 foot long grass

Our grass was pretty long when we left for Kentucky. When we got back from Kentucky 2 weeks later we only got around to mowing the part of the yard before we left for Florida for 2 more weeks. So... Here is the result of not mowing our grass for over 4 weeks!!!
